Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst, Commerce

Location: Remote/West Coast

Duration: 6+ months

What will you be doing as Senior Business Analyst for Commerce?

You will gather, document and track requirements for our commerce websites. You will interact with business stakeholders and translate their needs into actionable user stories for engineers to develop. You will strive to build a world-class user experience that enables users to easily explore, find and buy what they want through an engaging and frictionless experience. This person will report to the Senior Director of Product Management in Enterprise Technology, and work in partnership with other members on the product, design, engineering, operations and business teams.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate effective discussions with stakeholders and delivery teams to gather business requirements, acting as a single point of contact
  • Become a subject matter expert for our multiple commerce applications, including their business rules and how each application interacts with upstream and downstream systems and processes
  • Identify and document accurately and succinctly project / feature scope and business requirements through the product development lifecycle
  • Ensure scope and requirements are fully documented in Confluence
  • Maintain a robust, detailed backlog of user stories (requirements) for features, enhancements and bug fixes; groom (clarify and estimate) them with the engineering team
  • Work closely with the Product Owners to ensure the stories are comprehensive and well formed
  • Translate business needs to Engineering and QA teams to ensure a quality product and great user experience
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing
  • Work closely with PMO for status updates, to identify dependencies, to meet deadlines and control scope
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Experience

6 to 8 years of relevant and related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Passion for solving problems, defining business rules, and working across a variety of stakeholder groups
  • Passion for online commerce and customer experience
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be adaptable in the face of rapidly changing priorities
  • Must be able to find the clarity in ambiguous requirements
  • Ability to recall details on the fly and apply them to new problems; see the big picture and the minutiae simultaneously
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively interact and facilitate discussions with cross functional teams
  • Experience with Ecommerce platforms such as Oracle Commerce (ATG), Magento or Salesforce Commerce
  • Proficiency with Agile Scrum and Atlassian JIRA
  • Consulting experience is a plus

 

Education, Certificates, Licenses, and other requirements:

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year accredited college or university in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
