Application Support Engineer / .NET Developer

2 year contract

Remote then partial onsite in Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, AL

Our customers Marketing Technology Portfolio is seeking a resource that will be responsible for providing support to Marketing and Sales solutions across their operating companies. Responsibilities will include application general support on an as-needed basis to provide bug fix / troubleshooting, general support and small enhancement development and testing as directed by the company. Near-term support will be assigned for the following applications: PriceGen, BillGen and EnergyDirect. The resource would work with a variety of organizations, at the direction of the company, which will require excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, time management, planning and organizational skills. Strong analysis and problem solving skills are critical.

 

Experience Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with implementing, integrating and supporting technology solutions
  • Experience developing applications with Microsoft .Net, Java, and other platforms preferred. Experience developing applications with Microsoft .Net platform and Javascript preferred.
  • Experience supporting, troubleshooting, enhancing applications that require technical skills including, but not limited to: .NET, C#, Oracle SQL, SQL Server, Linux, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, GIT, Visual Studio, Javascript, KendoUI, JQuery, CSS, HTML, Agile, Jira, web applications, web services and batch processes
  • Ability to build relationships and work with all levels of management, vendors, and other internal and external groups

Knowledge / Skills / Attributes:

·        Knowledge and understanding of software development technologies, methodology and associated tools

·        Advanced knowledge of C# and the .NET framework

·        Experience working with either Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle

·        Understanding of service oriented architectures

  • Experience with Frontend development using Javascript, KendoUI, JQuery, CSS, and HTML
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Excellent root cause analysis & problem solving skills
  • Strong technical writing skills preferred
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to effectively organizes tasks, manages multiple priorities/details, and meets tight deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective consulting skills with proven ability to influence others
  • Builds productive relationships with a focus on cooperation & teamwork

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, integrate, and/or support technology solutions in a manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations for quality, cost, and timeliness
  • Communicate effectively and timely with customers, team members, and management
  • Provide timely, consistent, effective production application support (routine maintenance and minor fixes or enhancements)
  • Troubleshooting issues that have been reported
  • Work on approved system enhancements and/or application replacement analysis as requested
  • Near-term support will be assigned for the following applications: PriceGen, BillGen and EnergyDirect.
  • Build effective relationships with peers, management, and customers
  • Ensure required documentation for projects is developed
  • Adhere to Change Management policies and procedures
  • Respond/Resolve quickly & effectively to all operational problems
  • Build effective relationships with peers, management, and customers

Deliverables:

·        Submit written documentation as needed of all analysis and changes completed

·        Document solution design for defects and small enhancements

·        Implement changes

·        Provide all code, files, and installation instructions for implementation
